We are seeking a Scientific Associate to support, at a high level, our fundamental research and development activities in support of functional coatings and polymer synthesis.

What we offer

· Independently conceive innovative routes to develop inorganic, organic and hybrid coating technologies & processes.
· Take discoveries from the laboratory to final products.
· Diagnose and resolve practical problems in product formulation, manufacture and applications.
· Write and present technical reports to customers, trade associations, technical service personnel and company management.
· Serve as a technical resource for external customers, sales, marketing and operations.
· Maintain up-to-date technical expertise and a high-profile involvement with important industry technical associations.
· Work with external suppliers, vendors, national labs, and academic institutions.
· Develop and create report, comprehensive technical specifications, drawing and DFMEA.
· Assist with engineering-level test builds at scale-up pilot manufacturing facilities in product scale up, manufacturing and troubleshooting product problems.
· Understand and adhere to program timelines.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Who we are looking for

·  Ph.D. or M.S. degree in chemistry, material science or a related field required.
·  2+ years of industrial experience preferred.
·  Proficient in polymer synthesis & coatings and surface analysis instruments and techniques required
·  Proven history of developing innovative routes for coating technologies based on organic, polymer and hybrid chemistries, including practical work.
·  Competence in synthesis and characterization of polymers & coatings.
·  Goal-oriented, new technology/product developer with willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
·  Excellent written and oral communication skills preferably in English and sound computer literacy.
·  The ability to work in a multi-functional team.
