Job description
This internship will be based within Handel & Hendrix in London’s creative team who manage and plan the extensive programme of both Baroque and contemporary concerts and events, deliver all literature and interpretation for visitors and implement the longer term strategies for the organisation.
Please note that the internship is voluntary and unpaid. Handel & Hendrix in London offer travel reimbursement within London.
Projects include:
- Support the administration, set-up and de-rig of school workshops
- Assist in the development of learning materials provided to schools both before and after educational workshops, including Baroque Central
- Assist in the writing of summaries about items in historic collection
- Support the development of the events and resources that make up our families programme including:
- Assist in the creation and programming of new family ‘drop-in’ sessions
- Supporting Front of House family sessions on Saturdays
- Conduct research on costumes and other handling items used in our educational workshops
- Assist in front of house tasks
Extra opportunities may include (seasonal):
- Training to deliver learning workshops
- Training to work with visually impaired people
- Shop and box office training
- Other training relevant to learning and participation team if they occur during your time here
