In a pharmaceutical environment, automation equipment, networks and data control/management are present everywhere and their importance is increasing. In order to manage investment and compliance projects in a professional way according to the GSK procedures, competent PM’s are needed who have a knowledge of Automation. Additional to the project management, a portfolio management approach is required to synchronize all project with each other and with all other stakeholders who are impacted by Automation (Production, MSAT projects, local engineering,)

Job purpose:

·  Support the Head of Global Vx Investment Automation Projects and the Senior Project Manager Automation on the Central projects/programs/portfolio as well as on the Belgian Portfolio or strategic programs.
·  Lead and support Definition and execution of Central and/or Belgian Automation projects and programs

Your responsibility:

·  As you will be working on projects which are linked to strategic imperatives, you have a key strategic role and responsibility on the Belgian and global level for Automation Vx Investment projects.

Portfolio

·  Suppor Global and Belgian Automation portfolio development and assure the synergies, interdependencies of all Automation projects or projects including are known and visible
·  Support the PM maturity improvement of all automation projects/programs in line with the overall portfolio improvement roadmap which addresses all aspects of PM (EHS, QA, Procurement, Scope, Planning, Cost,…)

Project

·  You are accountable for the successful delivery of the Central and/or Local Automation CapEx projects (2m€ to >50m€) according to the GSK PMF (Project Management Framework) procedures
·  You are responsible for all EHS KPI’s and the integration of all related EHS requirements in the Automation projects, programs and portfolio.
·  You are responsible for preparing the projects/program for the GSK project governance procedures
·  From the very start of the project, you are responsible for the set-up of the project organization and will remain responsible from the Conceptual/Basic Engineering to Hand-over and Close-out phase to ensure an outcome which meets all the defined project objectives for cost, schedule, quality, safety and environment and delivers the business benefits.
·  Drive the Project Execution Plan process, documenting the project delivery strategy and the success criteria according to the PM Standard. Establish project EHS, Quality, commissioning, validation and hand-over strategy that fully complies with the PM Standard and implements to ensure a timely and complete handover to the Customer.
·  Leads the qualification of the engineering services providers, contactors and vendors and decide and direct the appropriate contractual strategy. Uses proven selection processes to develop the appropriate contract strategy for the project, selects and manages contractors and settles any claims in accordance with company policy.
·  Implements strict project and financial controls, including procedures for change control / management, cost control / forecasting, physical progress / productivity measurement, and invoice review / payment

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

·  Engineering degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Automation, Electrical or Chemical
·  Robust experience with automation projects within a GMP environment
·  Background in the pharmaceutical industry is highly preferred
·  Fluent in French and English
·  Min. 3 years of CAPEX Project management experience as Project Manager or Program Manager
·  PMP certification is a plus
·  Strong leadership skills & proven team management
·  Experience within an international, multi-cultural environment

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

·  Organizational skills
·  Stake holder management & negotiation & influencing skills
·  The role requires sound judgment and complex decision making where few precedents and considerable ambiguity may exist
·  Experience as or with a PMO
·  Knowledge of GSK standards & systems is a plus
·  Proven CAPEX project delivery experience within GSK is a plus
·  Knowledge of specific Automation subjects as Data Management & Data Integrity, Obsolescence management, Cyber Security, process control systems and equipment are a plus
