GSK's General Manufacturing and Supply (GMS) Site at Ware has an opportunity available now for a Production Technical Operator role in our Respiratory operations division.

Please Note: This role is a shift role which currently operates on 16/5 Double Days (8 Hours) shift pattern.

The roles entails setting up and operating automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. The Production Technical Operator team is responsible for the organisation's manufacturing and/or production operations including assembly, machinery, processing and/or packaging.
The Blending department produces both commercial and NPI (New Product Introduction) manufacture combining and mixing active ingredients with excipients. Specifically, the role entails the set up and cleaning of the blender and comil machines in each suite producing GMP compliant product using the judgement ladder. The critical part of the role is to produce product in a safe manor and follow all the critical checks that are needed throughout the blending process.

About Ware Manufacturing Site:
Medicines at Ware are presented as either Respiratory devices or in Oral Solid Dose form. The site holds a unique position in our network as the only site responsible for launching the company's pipeline of new medicines in these dose forms, many of which are life saving medicines. A series of investments in new state-of-the-art equipment are being made that will support the delivery of a record number of new products. This must be achieved whilst consistently delivering outstanding quality, service and value to our patients.

Desired profile

Basic qualifications:
- You must have relevant manufacturing experience / qualifications.

- A good standard of numeracy and literacy is essential. You must have passed the Operator Assessment Kit (OAK) test standard (3-3-3) or successfully pass the online OAK's equivalent (this will be issued out by email to appropriately experienced / qualified candidates) – Please clearly state in your application if you have passed the OAKs test and when you sat the test.

Preferred qualifications:
- GCSE Mathematics & English or equivalent.
- Basic computer literacy
