Details:
As a Superintendent, you will supervise a team of biotechnologists and ensure the proper execution of production activities in the process facility to achieve production objective in terms of quality, quality, cost effectiveness and other relevant operational targets.

Your key responsibilities will include ensuring a robust planning on resources (manpower, equipment, etc) for on time execution of production activities of the department and managing the facility's activity planning through incorporation of production schedule, validation requirement, calibration, maintenance activities, environmental monitoring to ensure optimal use of equipment and people resources.

In leading your team, you will have to manage the morale, discipline and well-being of the team, as well as to monitor, plan and coordinate resources to ensure effective utilization of operational staff.

You will determine when a deviation is required and be involve in or lead a team of relevant individuals from the process team, Quality team and/or other experts if required to solve and close the deviation in a timely manner.

You should have prior experience in supporting and facilitating self-inspections and coordinating for plant pre-audit preparation to ensure audit-readiness. You will be responsible for performing product impact assessment resulting from unplanned events. You will also review, collate, prepare and ensure that documentation related to production function and management, including SAP transactions are completed, up-to-date and relevant to ensure proper control, documentation and reporting to management

Desired profile

Basic qualifications:
You should possess a Degree in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Life Sciences or relevant discipline and have at least 3 years of working experience in pharmaceutical industry.

On a technical front, you are required to have knowledge in cGMP and safety (bio-safety) issues and biotechnology equipment. You should also have proven records of troubleshooting and process control bio-process skills. It will be good if you have experience with SAP transactions.

As you will be managing a team of biotechnologists, you should have proven team management, communication and team building skills.
