GSK in St Louis has an opening for a Engineering Administrative Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support for the EHS Manager, EHS Specialists, Occupational Nurse and Engineers. You will manage PPE programs, month-end graphs and tracking of the ZAP program and projects as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage electronic database for site ZAP Program including tracking and quarterly rewards
• Manage safety glasses and safety shoe programs; attend new hire orientation to distribute packets and present an overview of each program.
• Conduct initial review of all completed lock-out tag-out procedures
• Provide administrative support for EHS department, manage purchase orders, travel & expense reports, filing, record retention, 5S compliance and projects as assigned
• Assist with creating content for monthly Safety meeting
• Create and distribute EHS Council meeting minutes and manage other preliminary needs prior to EHS Council
• Schedule and assist with all compliance programs (i.e. respirator, audiograms, first responder training, health fair, vaccinations, mammograms, etc.)
• Create and organize Equipment files and Project files for the site Engineers
• Ensure Quality and Compliance in accordance with established procedures and standards of the Quality System.
• Comply with and support the GSK Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Desired profile

Basic qualifications:
3 – 5 years of administrative assistant experience
High School graduate or equivalent

Preferred qualifications:
• B.S Business Administration
• Knowledge of EPA & OSHA regulations
• Knowledge and ability to analyze and evaluate EHS information for accuracy.
• Knowledge of eSP purchasing software system for yearly blanket order PO's and miscellaneous products.
• Ability to participate effectively in a team environment and maintain confidential information regarding supervisors and employees.
• High degree of self-motivation, accuracy and attention to detail
• Knowledge of math and basic accounting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Requires creating and updating Excel spreadsheets, Word documents and PowerPoint presentations and graphs
