Details:
You will be involved in all aspects of the process development of purification processes for therapeutic proteins including monoclonal antibodies, including initial process screening, optimization and characterization, scale-up and tech transfer to clinical manufacturing and/or commercial manufacturing partners. Primary focus will be on the bench-scale laboratory development of purification unit operations such as column chromatography (affinity, ion exchange, HIC, RP, etc.), ultrafiltration, depth filtration and centrifugation.

Desired profile

Basic qualifications:
Master's degree (Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Chemistry or Biology) and/or combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor's degree and 2 years experience). Exceptional Bachelor's candidates with directly relevant co-op, intern or other R&D experience will also be considered.
Basic knowledge of protein chemistry and purification techniques; working knowledge of routine laboratory work or plant equipment/operations. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of systems and procedures relating to protein purification preferred.
Requires the ability to learn new techniques independently; basic knowledge of GxP policies and procedures; basic knowledge of regulatory requirements of the pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industry

Preferred qualifications:
Purification process development experience preferred.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of equipment and procedures relating to protein purification or relevant biochemical purification process development experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; and a demonstrated ability to work as part of a project team.
