Saint-Gobain’s High-Performance Materials Group is a dynamic, global business with research and development activities centered in Northboro, Massachusetts (NRDC). The Northboro operation has been a major center for materials research since 1985. We have an outstanding record of achievement, and are committed to growth through the development of proprietary products based on novel materials and process technologies. The 186,000-square-foot R&D Center is based in three buildings on a 26-acre site near I-290 in Northboro and has approximately 350 employees from 30 different countries.
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
The ability to effectively present and communicate R&D and project results across various sites and departmental boundaries.
Ability to autonomously build relationships in order to work effectively lead teams and interface with customers.
Ability to travel as needed to serve business needs and thrive under different cultural environments.
Experience in the instrumentation of processes to measure force, power, acceleration, temperature, vibration, etch along with high speed data acquisition & analysis and instrumental controls are highly desired.
Demonstrated ability to give and receive constructive feedback, and ability to flex style to match needs of direct reports.
Project management excellence using project management tools and the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
Demonstrated ability to write strong technical documents and give strong technical presentations to wide variety of audience.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION :
MS Degree 7+ years of experience or PhD with 3+ years of experience in years’ experience in grinding, machining, lapping, polishing of engineering material with abrasive articles / tools.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary to communicate with all levels of management, customers, colleagues, and direct reports
