Internship Sales Assistant Hedge Funds in London La Française Global Investment Solutions

Job description

You will work directly with the European Sales & Business Development Director with responsibility for both core business tasks and special projects.  As part of a small team, you will have high levels of responsibility, a lead role in executing on the tasks and projects assigned and significant interaction with all teams including marketing, portfolio management, risk & reporting and legal & compliance.  You will also have the opportunity to become proficient in LFGIS’ fund strategies including credit and risk premia.

 

Primary responsibilities include:

-          Support the Sales team in managing prospects and clients.

-          Collect information from fund managers, risk managers, legal & compliance Department in order to respond to various client questions or RFP’s pre or post trades, including during the Due Diligence process.

-          Constitution of MIFID files

-          Identify sales prospects with several databases (Preqin…).

-          Maintain and improve Sales Management tools.

-          Prepare reportings of the Hedge Fund sales activity for the Founding Partners & the Executive Team.

-          Organization of business events (search & selection of suppliers, negotiation, monitoring).

Desired profile

Required skills and attributes:  

-          Student from an Engineering school, top business school or university (financial specialization), in gap year or end-of-study.

-          Strong interpersonal, analytical and written skills both in English and French.

-          Highly motivated with the ability to manage high levels of responsibility and execute on projects with autonomy and under minimal supervision.

-          Excellent organization and time management skills including the ability to execute on multiple priorities simultaneously.

-          Attention to detail, rigor and a strong sense of personal responsibility essential.

-          Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.

-          Prior asset management or investment banking experience and an understanding of derivatives a plus.
