Job Description

In coordination with the Head Office, the Global Markets Permanent Control Officer (“PCO”) is responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring of 1st level supervisory controls. The PCO will be responsible for the coordination of internal audits along with any subsequent remediation efforts and will collaborate closely with Compliance and other support functions on regulatory inquiries and examinations impacting Global Markets.

·  Review Global Markets risks and controls cartography
·  Monitor first line of defense and define a control plan
·  Analysis of incidents, escalation, definition and follow-up of corrective measures in coordination with operational risk team
·  Monitor the FO procedures framework
·  Coordinate with Audit (internal, external and regulatory), including coordination and maintenance of local audit recommendations
·  Monitor the implementation of recommendations and follow-up of global action items.
·  Report and coordinate with Head Office on different topics
·  Participate in the GM Permanent Control Committee
·  Handle any ad-hoc supervisory delegation

Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience

·  Bachelor's degree required, graduate degree preferred.
·  10 years' experience minimum in Compliance, Risk or other Control/Support functions.
·  Solid understanding of financial markets instruments, new regulatory landscape and their impacts on business models and infrastructure
·  Excellent interpersonal skills and negotiation skills; able to work collaboratively with business line executives and cross functions.
·  Strong organizational and analytical skills.
·  Superior communication skills are a must. Skillful written communication is necessary; the ability to convey thoughts clearly and succinctly and to communicate pertinent complex information in a clear and organized manner.
·  High degree of integrity and strong work ethic.
·  The ability to manage multiple priorities, working under pressure to meet deadlines, and the ability to respond creatively and quickly in a fast-paced and changing environment.
