Your role

Are you a talented intern looking to join a growing and innovative business? Our Logistics team is looking for a passionate and driven individual to actively manage the day to day courier operations at Gousto. You will use live reporting tools and build key relationships to maximise delivery performance, as well as taking on responsibility for internal and external reporting, producing statistics and graphics to illustrate performance trajectory and key areas for improvement.

The goal of our logistics department is to provide best-in-class service by having the highest OTIF (On Time in Full) percentage, coupled with the widest range of delivery options for our customers.

This is a 6-month fixed term role where you will make a tangible difference to Gousto, while working alongside our experienced Logistics team of two to grow your Operations knowledge.

Requirements

We expect the right candidate to be able to take on the responsibilities of this role, while continually looking for ways to implement change and improve processes. You will be constantly challenging the norms and looking for opportunities to drive the department forward, so having natural drive is essential.

You will be involved in the following areas:
Monitor and manage day to day delivery performance
Compile and present weekly reports to internal and external stakeholders
Manage courier invoices and compensation claims
Manage ad-hoc requests from wider business
Ensure smooth booking process for delivery labels
Troubleshooting operational issues
Support the customer care team as the point of contact for delivery escalations
Regular contact both by phone and face to face with delivery partners
Manage trunking and pallet intake schedules
Assist with delivery expansion projects

Desired profile

Who are we looking for

We’re looking for someone who is a forward thinker and full of fresh and innovative ideas; someone who wants responsibility, takes ownership and pushes for improvements.

To be considered for this role you will need to be:
Degree educated or equivalent
Excel competent (at least to an intermediate level (v-lookups/pivots etc should be a doddle for you)
Process driven

Ideally you will also:
Have an interest in the food industry – particularly distribution
Want to have a career in logistics / operations
