About the Position

A Network Support Analyst provides IT hardware, software, network infrastructure, and telecom support for Commercial Tire & Service Centers (“CTSC”) field locations throughout the United States and their Support Center located in Fort Smith, Arkansas, as well as the FleetHQ 24/7 Call Center, GTRACS, and Managed Services teams also located in Fort Smith. Travel is typically infrequent but availability is required, and is usually for performing installations that are often in harsh environmental conditions that also require repeated heavy lifting and heights.

Primary Responsibilities

·  Supporting end-users with IT hardware, networking, and software as well as telecom (landline, cellular, Voice-over-IP, etc.)
·  Documenting support activities, both time-spent per task, and knowledge-base for support issues and how-to's.    
·  Installing, configuring, research, implementing of IT & telecom systems.
·  Construction of wired & wireless computer networks.
·  Installation, configuration, and maintenance of thin clients and Windows based workstations in a network environment.
·  Supporting Windows clients (XP, 7, 8, 10) and Server O/S platforms (2008, 2012) - both physical and virtual machines
·  Treating end-users as if they were your “customers” who you want to continue doing business with you: kind, courteous, and professional.
·  Assisting with remote connectivity, troubleshooting and user support calls, and tracking these activities through a ticket system.
·  Diagnose hardware/software issues related to all Goodyear systems.
·  Conduct both onsite and online training on Goodyear’s proprietary software and systems, as well as third-party applications.
·  Landline Phone System and Mobile Device setup, support, and administration.
·  Support, configure, and install printers, multi-function devices, servers, print servers, thermal barcode printers, access points, antennas, networking devices, RF scanners, work stations, virtual machines, surveillance systems, wiring, digital signage appliances, and other equipment as needed.

 

Required Education and Experience

·  Bachelor’s degree in I/T or related field is required or, in lieu of degree, 7 years of IT experience in a professional environment.        
·  Minimum 2 years of I.T. Technical Support in a Business/Organizational environment, supporting: Windows workstations, PC/LAN environments (configuring, deploying, troubleshooting), command-line/shell prowess, Access Points, Routers.
·  Utilization of a Ticketing System to capture work performed and issue resolution.
·  Must be comfortable dealing with business (trucking/tire industry) end-users as well as IT professionals regarding the support of Windows workstations, LAN environments: wired and wireless, Microsoft Office, multiple web browsers and platforms, and telecom devices and wiring.
·  As someone who will deal with end-users (whom we consider 'our customers'), we require excellent interpersonal skills including kind, courteous, respectful treatment. The ability to multi-task in a high-paced environment while collaborating with teammates is a must.
