Java Developer, Commodity Trading & Sales Technology, Associate

YOUR IMPACT
Commodities Technology is looking for a developer to work on a range of projects for the global Commodities business. While the projects vary over time, our current areas of focus include:
- BoltWeb: a strategic platform for risk and trade management for Trading and Sales
- eDealing: continued investment in the award winning Commodities platform Marquee Trader and related applications
- Business development – new markets, partners and business segments.

The ideal candidate would have experience and interest in building enterprise systems that are highly reliable and low maintenance.  They should also have commercial experience in Java.
The successful candidate will join a team of talented developers working on visible and prestigious projects. The opportunity will appeal to motivated individuals who want to work directly with the trading desks.

The FICC Technology teams works directly with the FICC Trading and Sales teams to develop next generation systems to achieve their business goals. HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
• Gain experience in a variety of technologies, including the GS platform SecDB, Java, web technologies (javascript, angular etc.), real-time cluster technologies like SPARK and NoSQl data stores like MongoDB.
• Work directly with Trading, Sales and Strats
• Great opportunity to learn the business while working with a talented group of individuals.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR
• Honour’s degree in a STEM subject
• Professional Java development experience
• Strong object oriented analysis and design skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience of Commodities a bonus but not essential
