Job Summary & Responsibilities

YOUR IMPACT

The FICC Solutions Group (“FSG”) within Private Wealth Management (“PWM”) is responsible for advisory, sales and execution across fixed income, currency and commodity (“FICC”) markets for PWM clients. FSG product specialists provide investment ideas and trade execution in FICC cash and OTC derivatives markets. The team is currently seeking an analyst or associate to fill a hybrid role, with a focus on the core business of FICC derivatives, while also serving as the point person for cross-asset (including equity) client coverage and execution through US markets close. The candidate will work closely with Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs), securities division sales/traders, research analysts, and management to deliver the full complement of Goldman Sachs capabilities to PWM clients.

OUR IMPACT

The FICC Solutions Group partners with PWM clients to identify investment objectives and implement differentiated FICC strategies in order to tailor portfolios to meet both strategic and tactical goals. Using FSGs comprehensive suite of offerings, the team creates customized solutions to meet clients’ risk/return and investment objectives including: FX hedging, tactical macro transactions, fixed income opportunities and diversification, enhanced return/yield, amongst others.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

• Build on your knowledge as a derivatives expert across FICC products, with a focus on foreign exchange and interest rate derivatives
• Advise and execute across all FICC cash products and cash equities
• Identify market opportunities for PWM clients
• Educate internal stakeholders on FICC products
• Develop and recommend investment ideas based upon client’s investment objectives, overall portfolios, relevant market exposures and relative value considerations
• Work closely with our New York and Hong Kong teams to ensure ideas reach the PWM franchise globally

QUALIFICATIONS

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Minimum 2-4 years of relevant industry experience, preferably in a sales or trading role
• Strong understanding of options and financial markets knowledge
• Strong, demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with traders, sales, as well as internal and external stakeholders
• Strong risk management mind-set with the ability to identify potential issues and propose thoughtful and appropriate solutions
• Motivated team player who can contribute in a cohesive team environment
