AXA Corporate Solutions is the AXA Group's entity dedicated to large corporations in terms of property and casualty risk management, underwriting and claims handling and to specialty markets worldwide.
The UK branch has got two offices: one in Ipswich, and one in London. This role would be located within the City of London nearby the Lloyd’s. The Lines of Business underwritten within the UK are:
- Property;
- Motor;
- Casualty;
- Construction;
- Marine;
- Financial Lines.
The annual turnover in the UK branch is about £150m and the total of reserves held is about £500m. The UK is one of the three main hubs of AXA Corporate Solutions and supports the Asian branches of AXA-CS in their financial reporting.
Poste et missions:
Within the Finance department, you will be responsible for reserving and involved in business planning, underwriting support and Solvency II specific requirements.
Specifically you will assume primary responsibility for reserving and ensuring accurate and timely reporting & planning. You will also support the Underwriting team and liaise with Head Office in preparation for Solvency II to ensure the delivery of requested information in a timely manner.
- To calculate accurately and in a timely manner the reserves under the responsibility of the branch, using actuarial methods
- To write the Reserving Report for the Top Management
- To document the estimations for the auditors and Regulations Authorities
- To produce various actuarial and technical reports on a monthly and quarterly basis, notably related to Solvency 2
- To participate to the building of the Strategic Plan
- To participate to the maintenance and further development of the actuarial processes to ensure the good quality of the figures and the profitability of the branch
- To work alongside colleagues within other entities to ensure harmonization of methods and processes
- To support the UW team
Profil:
The candidate
- Will be trained and supported for their mission
- Is autonomous and able to manage time as environment is heavily deadline driven
- Is able to build and maintain good communication links and relationships with the rest of the organisation, incl. French & German colleagues, local Underwriters & international support functions (Claims, Operations)
Qualifications
- Newly or part-qualified actuary
- Fluent in English. Another language would be a plus
- Attention to detail, problem solver and self-motivated
- Good verbal and written communication
- Very good knowledge of Excel and VBA programming
- Knowing R would be a plus
