Role Summary/Purpose

The Welder will be required to carry out welding on machined parts including its fit-up process to a high degree of quality, and work on his own initiative to meet the production schedule of the plant, also at the same time able to meet EHS/HSE standard.
Essential Responsibilities

• Read and understands engineering drawings & specifications
• Lay out, positions, and secures parts and assemblies according to specifications
• Tack-welds components and assemblies, using electric, gas, arc, or other welding equipment
• Perform welding as per the qualified welding process
• Set up, monitor and weld the components within the parameters of the specific weld procedure
• Ensure resulted weldments are meeting required visual acceptance criteria
• Adhere to Company quality procedures
• Conduct machine tool preventive maintenance, as well as implement good 5S auditing
• Produce quality, efficient and productive part in machining
• Perform good 5S housekeeping
• Comply with EHS/HSE directives
• Adhere to Company Safety and Environmental policies
• Participate in EHS/HSE program and proactively involve in improving EHS/HSE Culture in Batam Site
• Involve in EHS/HSE Framework 2.0 program
Qualifications/Requirements

Qualified as a welder in previous experience minimum in either SAW, GTAW, GMAW or SMAW.
Desired Characteristics

• Has experience of using SAW, GTAW, GMAW or SMAW welding machine for the oil industry
• Has experience of using Fronius ETR system welding/cladding machine would be an advantage
