Role Summary/Purpose

The Vulnerability Management Analyst will be responsible for driving and supporting the integration of secure development practices including static and dynamic application security testing tools and education platform. The person will interact with all GE businesses providing guidance on securing their applications.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Lead integration of and ongoing support for tools and processes that support secure development 
·  Provide support and direct training to dev team members on SDL practices such as threat modeling, secure software design, use of static, dynamic and manual security testing tools, and guidance remediation of software vulnerabilities 
·  Escalation point to review application threat models in conjunction with dev team security liaison 
·  Review and interpret Static and Dynamic test results in conjunction with dev team security liaison 
·  Conduct application security tests utilizing manual pen testing techniques when applicable 
·  Monitor key metrics and report on adoption and effectiveness of secure development practices  
·  Monitor for and address new or changing support requirements from development teams 
·  Collaborate with peers at other Tech Hubs and management to ensure global consistency of approach and execution of secure software development practices
Qualifications/Requirements

·  BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field/equivalent experience 
·  Relevant experience in cyber security, vulnerability analysis, application development

Desired Characteristics

·  Experience supporting Agile/DevOps
Experience working with cloud technology (e.g. AWS, Cloud Foundry) 
·  Experience supporting appsec in cloud environments 
·  Proficiency in one or more programming languages 
·  Proficiency in secure development frameworks (e.g. OpenSAMM, SDL) 
·  Experience creating threat models, “evil” user stories, security design requirements 
·  Experience integrating SDL controls into Agile SDLC processes 
·  Experience integrating security testing tools and processes into CI/CD – DevOps environments
Security related certifications (i.e. CISSP, CEH, CISM, CISA, CSSLP)
·  Experience developing, managing and executing project plans
Analytical and negotiation skills
Excellent communication and presentations skills
