Role Summary/Purpose
Uses sketching (in pencil and/or code) to experiment with multiple potential approaches to a problem. Contributes across multiple small to medium projects as assigned in a cross-functional environment.
Essential Responsibilities
· Understands and applies Agile / Lean UX methodologies.
· Contributes to the effective documentation and communication of design - via wireframes, mockups, and requirements engineering.
· Researches emerging design, technology, industry, and market trends.
· Articulates own point of view and understands point of view in broader context.

Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Interaction, Graphic, or Industrial Design preferred or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)

· Experience presenting effectively to non-technical and executive audiences.
· Resourceful and quick learner; able to efficiently seek out, learn, & apply new areas of expertise as needed.
· Highly self-motivated, able to work independently
Technical Expertise:
· Experience in some standard design & wireframing tools ( like Adobe CC, OmniGraffle, Sketch), hand drawing and visual communication, time-based and interactive prototyping tools (Hype, Adobe Edge, Keynote).
· Uses participatory design activities (e.g. paper prototype co-creation, card sorting) to understand vision, business model and assumptions and tacit knowledge about user needs and behaviors.
· Conducts user research to understand user needs, mental models and working contexts
· Creates annotated prototypes or wireframes of user interface designs that visually and textually communicate the behavior of a software application.
