Role Summary/Purpose

The Training Specialist will provide expertise in analysing technical learning needs for all functions at GE Aviation Hamble facility and then designs and delivers training solutions. This will involve co-ordination and liaison with the internal Integrated Process Teams, support services and internal / external training providers to establish, discharge and maintain the training requirements for the site.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Provide expertise in analyzing learning needs, designing training solutions for the business or function

·  Perform training needs analysis and assessment whilst working with internal functions to identify skill gaps and agree training requirements

·  Working with external training providers to establish and leverage training opportunities

·  Establishing opportunities with local and national government organisations regarding training grants and funding (i.e. Apprenticeship Levy), and build partnerships across different institutions

·  Establish a preferred suppliers list and negotiate training offerings

·  Managing agreed training budget for site (obtaining maximum value from delivered training courses)

·  Arranging external training courses based on communicated requirements from the internal stakeholders

·  Hosting trainers and managing attendees

·  Management and tracking of internal training, including alignment of skills codes and required training modules

·  Management of training matrix (training tracker), including logging completions on training tracker and storing of records and certificates

·  Management of National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ) including college visits

·  Development of training tracker and link with Spotfire tool
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor's degree from an accredited university (or equivalent) or demonstrable experience in a Training and Development role with focus on technical training

·  Experience of working in a manufacturing business

·  Experience of working with local government and understanding of funding sources available to companies

·  Ability to work independently

·  Demonstrable time management and organisational skills
