Essential Responsibilities
• Your day at GE
1) As Quality Engineer you will be part of a Scrum team inclusive of Software Engineers, Quality Engineers, Software Architects and Product Owner.
2) You will handle the design, execution and maintenance of automated and manual system, module, and unit test cases, performance tests and test environment.
3) As a dedicated QA Engineer, you will own quality of product as per design, technical, functional and non-functional requirements. You should also help drive a Test Driven Development approach.
Core Responsibilities:
1) Responsible for testing a feature and or a small feature set. Contributes to the team and works with team and stakeholders to come up with test plan for the release.
2) Breaks down problems and estimates time for quality related tasks. Demonstrates growing expertise in application domain and functional areas. Takes ownership of tasks and leads team to deliver on test plan.
3) Works without supervision and delivers testing and use case creation which meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project.
4) Understands and applies GE processes
5) Participate actively in Scrum team following Agile/TDD/BDD approach.
Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
· 8 to 12 years of end to end testing experience (manual + automated) in the industry
· A minimum of 2 years of experience as a test lead
· Sound knowledge of different testing techniques applicable based on test scenario.
· Experience with testing tools and frameworks for testing applications built using Microsoft C#.Net/WCF.
· Knowledge of unit testing using tools such as NUnit and MSTest.
· Nice to have testing experience on UI technologies and end to end automation testing

· Begins to collaborate with development team in bugs fixing.
· Implements and configures testing tools and manages test infrastructure.
