Role Summary/Purpose

In this role the Product Owner will coordinate a cross-functional team to help define the realization of a modern user experience within Remote Solutions for the Field Force Application. The development and assessment of key requirements will encompass the development of optimal workflows, usability and increased productivity for the Remote Service Engineer.
Essential Responsibilities

Duties include (but are not limited to):
•Interacts with customers/stakeholders in VOC requirements-gathering, fine tuning, and obtaining product feedback. Works with cross-functional teams to deliver features and products.
•Shows increasing understanding of the technology stack and its impact on the final product.
•Routinely collaborates with UX Design to know customers and understand behaviors.
•Conducts customer and stakeholder interviews and elaborates on personas.
•Demonstrates ability to influence customers and product managers through persuasion and influencing. Collaborates with PM for the release and sprint backlogs short-term roadmap for MVPs and quarterly releases. Owns and manages the backlog; continuously orders and prioritizes to ensure that 1-2 sprints/iterations of backlog are always ready.
•Prioritizes continuously in accordance with the understanding and validation of customer problems and needs. Collaborates with Product Managers/TPMs to decompose features into consumable user stories.
•Engages frequently (50% of the time) with the development team; facilitates discussions, provides clarification, story acceptance and refinement, testing and validation; contributes to design activities and decisions.
•Translates unstructured or ambiguous work requests into actionable user stories and work unit. Partners with Service Owners/ Development Managers to ensure healthy development process. Applies Agile Methodology.
•Develop deep understanding of customers’ workflow needs and work directly with end users to capture and analyze user workflow needs and propose solutions.
•Work with global customers who will be provide critical insights based upon their own experience.
•Collaborate with engineering and product development partners to translate user, business, and technical requirements into a standardized framework of communication to support an Agile definition process.
•Collaborate with the Product Manager (PM), Architects to define the short-term road-map for sprint backlogs and prepare capabilities/features for quarterly PI planning.
•Collaborate with Product Manager and other POs to decompose features into vertical slice user stories with SMART acceptance criteria and well-defined business needs. Frequently engage the team to provide clarification, define detailed acceptance criterion, story acceptance and refinement and communicate decisions to the development team.
•Understand the relationship and interaction across components, and clearly explain and define system behavior to the customer and development teams.
•Triage incoming customer reported problems, quickly determine if the expected behavior is not met, and define severity and priority. Actively look to reduce the investigation load from the team by performing the initial investigations until the reported system behavior is understood.
•Commitment to continuous improvement and show willingness to suggest new techniques for Agile activities like retrospectives, planning poker, etc.
• Establish close partnership with Quality Engineering and Dev Ops teams to ensure successful on time releases. Provide knowledge transfer to teams to reduce “false” defects from being logged.
Qualifications/Requirements

•Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
•At least 7+ year's relevant industry experience and 1+ year experience as Product Owner working with cross functional team.
•Demonstrated execution at meeting project goals while satisfying quality, performance, schedule, and budget parameters
•Demonstrated engineering knowledge, program management, and business planning processes, having experience with the full product life cycle
•Familiarity with ISO, and other regulatory standards Demonstrated leadership with the New Product Introduction (NPI) cycle and/or Post market activities are a bonus
•Should be a self-starter - Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Knowledge of Agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum
• Willingness and ability to learn and use new technology
• Effective problem solver: Ability to define the problem, brainstorm alternatives, choose best strategy and implement the solution
