Role Summary/Purpose

The Automation Engineer is a key member of Scrum/Development team and responsible for developing robust automation test solutions and related test activities leveraging existing/new technologies and agile testing practices. The Automation Engineer is responsible for full test life cycle such as developing, maintaining and execution of automated test cases.
Essential Responsibilities

You will be responsible for testing the system, module or set of features. You will contribute to the team and work with direction from the Senior Team Members or management but work independently.
In this role you will:
• Write automation tests adhering to Test Design Strategy
• Develop & run automated test procedures/test scripts
• Test the scripts against the acceptance test
• Checking test scripts into Source Code Management tool every day
• Develop ongoing test automation to integrated acceptance & component tests into the continuous testing environment
• Collaborate with System Integration & Test team for overall Integration & System Testing
• Understand performance parameters and assess application performance
Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related computer field
• Minimum of 2+ years experience in software development or software automation testing
• Knowledge on different phases of software development life cycle
• Experience in Object Oriented design methodology & various programming/ scripting languages including Java, C++, C#, VB Script, Python, Ruby, SQL
• Experience with Functional and Test Automation Tools including BDD/Specflow and Selenium
• Working knowledge of Source Code Management Tools (Perforce/SVN/Git), software debugging tools, emulators etc
• Experience working as part of Agile Scrum Teams
• Good understanding of Test Driven & Acceptance Testing/Behavior-Driven Testing concepts
• Demonstrated effective problem solving capabilities
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within and across various teams
