Role Summary/Purpose

The Simulation Engineer will configure GE Mark VI / VIe Control Systems in simulators to replicate plant equipment. Tests will be developed and executed to validate simulator responses match plant responses. This role will identify corrective actions to make simulators realistic and valuable for training. You will serve as primary contact for customers and simulator developers.

Essential Responsibilities

The Simulation Engineer will demonstrate leadership and support customers in training simulator business. In this role you will utilize your expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.

In the role of Simulation Engineer you will:

·  Configure GE HMI and control system simulators with project specific application information

·  Compare training simulator responses to operational data

·  Test simulator platform to identify systemic problems

·  Develop acceptance test documents and conduct tests

·  Demonstrate use and maintenance of simulator

·  Provide technical assistance at customer facilities

·  Collect plant information enabling plant specific simulator development

·  Configure simulator models to simulate plant process responses

·  Be able to balance multiple projects and competing Priorities

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Desired Characteristics

·  Master's Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university

·  Minimum 3 years of experience in GE Mark VI or VIe Control Systems (GE employees only)

·  Experience with Mark VIe DCS

·  Strong verbal and written communication skills

·  Combined cycle power plant operating experience

·  Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP) graduate
