Role Summary/Purpose
Applications are invited for the position of Shop Support Engineer. Reports directly to the Engineering Leader for all shop related technical issues. Prime focus is Engineering support for Gate 2 and Accessories, as well as technical support for other areas as required.
Essential Responsibilities
The Shop Support Engineer shall be responsible for the following technical areas, including:
· Provide technical support for all Gate 2 Engineering issues, including hardware review/technical reports
· Provide technical support/contact for any Gate 2 external customer issues, including hardware reviews
· Monitor hardware condition, engine / module disassembly, raising/processing of departures and proactively improve processes as required
· Authorise workscope changes based on hardware condition
· Liaising with CF6/GEnx LCE on fleet / shop issues & repair development
· Liaising with and supporting CF6/GEnx Platform on technical/contractual or CSA related issues
· Liaising with other internal departments/external vendors on any technical issues as required to support business needs/objectives
· Support the wider Engineering Shop Support Team, including Gate 1, Gate 2 Frames, Gate 3 Assembly and Accessories as required
· Maintaining knowledge of general Engineering issues by liaising with the wider Engineering group and attending weekly Engineering briefings
· Actively supporting and promoting Quality and Product Safety in the organisation – assisting with closure of Occurrence Reports/Quality Audit findings
· Support all areas of operation, including maintenance, tooling, projects, facilities and all technical issues
Qualifications/Requirements
· Potential candidates should possess an Engineering Degree or have equivalent technical experience and should be self-motivated
