Role Summary/Purpose
The Service Manager North & South Americas leads a team of Field Technicians and plans, prepares, and manages projects from beginning to end to maximize productivity and meet customer requirements. This includes leading Field Technicians located in North America and South America, and supporting them in areas of EHS, training, execution excellence and career development.
Essential Responsibilities
As the Service Manager North & South Americas, you will:
· Act as the field execution owner for the customer, managing Fulfillment 5 (safety, quality productivity, on-time-delivery, cost) to ensure operating plans are met according to schedule
· Ensure all aspects of job related to field service are planned accordingly, including schedule, cost, man loading, and job set-up
· Serve as additional customer interface with P&L, and communicate with Customer Service Manager and Customer Program Manager
· Review and verify the forecast to maximize utilization, meet catalog targets and schedule needed Field Technician training
· Lead approximately 12-15 Field Technicians in all areas of the job, including EHS, technical skills, field execution
· Plan prepare, and manage projects from beginning to end by reviewing project requirements, setting up projects, mapping POs, developing and executing against cost estimates, and owning performance relative to Fulfillment5 and customer CTQs
· Communicate with Field Service Coordinators, Resource Managers, EHS Managers, and Project Managers to update the job status and ensure project success
· Identify the need and complete requisition process for tooling and 3rd party vender (labor and non-labor) services
· Control safety, technical accuracy and cost of projects
· Conduct audits and inspections on the work teams during the execution of the installation, commissioning, receiving, operation and maintenance activities
· Analyze and report project close out metrics to determine proximity to operating plan targets
· Implement corrective actions based upon Safety Observations, Advanced Communication Notifications, and Root Cause Analyses
· Interview candidates and assess job qualifications to assist with the recruitment and hiring processes
· Reward and recognize strong performance on the job site
· Ensure EHS standards at site are met by working with the Site EHS Specialists to develop and execute FME plans, customer requirements, and overall EHS plan compliance and completion
· Run or support (as required) end customer pre- and post-outage meetings to maximize project efficiency and effectiveness
· Approve technical reports generated on site and update documentation as required
Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree in a related field from an accredited university or college
· Minimum of 2 years of project management experience
· Minimum of 2 years of managing and developing employees
· Minimum of 2 years of specialized / industry experience ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
· Ability and willingness to travel, as required
Desired Characteristics
· Experience in Power Generation / technical industry
· Direct report leadership experience, specifically with Field Technicians
· Ability to perform a wide variety of duties with accuracy / speed under pressure of time sensitive deadlines
· Excellent communication skills with English language proficiency
· Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
· Proficient in Project Management
· Ability to solve complex problems
