What impact you’ll make

Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for leading/ executing projects focused on industrializing new products, execution of transfers of work and development of processes from concept to non-conformance free. This role will support Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, and Generator.

Job Description

What you’ll do

·  Manage/ Lead global NPIs and ToW projects, products and technology to secure Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost
·  Own component introduction/ implementation/ qualification… from design and manufacturability through stable production (industrialization)
·  Serve as an NPI Project Manager in a highly cross-functional environment with engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, product management, etc
·  Improve and standardize the way of working within the team through the application of Lean methodology
·  Ensure the proper team is engaged in the Iterations from concept through final design with cross functional teams to ensure balance of producibility and cost
·  Be responsible for on time and on budget delivery of NPIs and strategic projects for both new units and services
·  Serve as a technical process owner for complex problems across a diverse supply chain partnering with stakeholders to solve business critical issues
·  Manage and communicate design change risks and impacts prior to implementation

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

·  Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline from an accredited college or university (or equivalent experience)
·  Major engineering/manufacturing/sourcing experience

What will make you stand out

·  Welding Engineering Degree or experience with welding and the machining of fabricated Components.
·  Strong Sourcing knowledge and prior experience with Supplier Development and/or transfer of work projects.
·  Knowledge of Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, and Generator Components.
·  Demonstrated ability to lead a team to deliver programs / projects
·  Ability to present ideas effectively and concisely, both written and verbal, to team members, senior management and customers
·  Proven ability to work horizontally across GE and build / maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
·  Cross functional experience – able to motivate team effectively, facilitate collaboration, and influence a solutions-oriented culture
·  Demonstrated ability to take vague problem, identify action plan, and partner with stakeholders to achieve goals
·  Strong project management/ organizational skills and demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion under tight deadlines
·  Strong verbal and written communication skills
·  Proficient in Microsoft products
