Role Summary/Purpose
Provides Quality Assurance advice and audits , within the framework provided by the Systems Business, to enable the continuous improvement and sustainable development of the HVDC processes and procedures.
Essential Responsibilities
INTERNAL AUDITS
Manage the internal audits schedule, as agreed with the management team, in order to provide confidence that the functions are operating to their processes and procedures. Confirm that the processes and procedures are compliant with ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
CONTINUOUS PROJECT AUDITS
Manage the Continuous Project Audit schedule, agreed with the Operations Functions, to provide continuous feedback on the effectiveness of the processes and procedures currently affecting project execution.
PROJECT QUALITY PLANS
Create and manage Project Quality Plans for the Operations and Technology functions
SUPPLIER AUDITS
Support the supplier audit schedule, determined by the Sourcing & Procurement function in order to provide confidence in the generic QEHS standards of the supply chain.
SUPPLIER SURVEILLANCE VISITS
Support the supplier surveillance programme determined by the Sourcing & Procurement and Operation functions to provide confidence in generic QEHS aspects of project equipment
ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS
Manage root cause analysis issues as defined by the management team, to provide a clear understanding of the reason for problems
QUALITY SYSTEM & PROCEDURES
Ensure the Quality Assurance process is compliant with ISO 9001.. 14001 and OHSAS 18001
PROJECT TEMPLATES & PROCEDURES
Create in conjunction with the internal customer, templates and procedures required for project execution, in addition check the content and format of new procedures/process maps from the other functions e.g. quality plans, as agreed with the management team, so that there is a simple consistent approach compliant with ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001
EHS
Take reasonable care of own safety , your colleagues safety and the environment. Comply with Health and Safety and all other relevant company policies
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at demonstrable experience in Quality) or equivalent knowledge & experience.
• Considerable experience in QA Engineering.
