Role Summary/Purpose

In this role, the person is responsible to take full ownership of the validation activities assigned to him/her in a project, interact with team to define the scope, create validation documentation and test set-up required to execute validation and providing regular work status update to project stake holders. The role involves collaboration with internal QA team and other stakeholders globally. Breaks down problems and estimates time and works independently.

Essential Responsibilities

·  Collaborate with team lead to understand the spec and develop validation test procedures.
·  Work with team to identify, design, implement and automate appropriate test cases for new software products.
·  Maintain/Improvise existing automation frameworks
·  Identify, verify fix and defect closure
·  Take ownership of modules
·  Should work independently
·  Deliver the assigned task on schedule and with quality
·  Communicates work activities and status to the global stakeholders
·  Handle customer/field issues independently
·  Demonstrates increasing expertise in application domain and functional areas.
·  Applies various testing types and methodologies effectively during SDLC.
·  Takes ownership of small tasks and deliver without supervision while using their discretion to seek help when necessary.
·  Applies principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refectories and Testing Techniques.
·  Writes effective tests according to best practices so that crucial functional requirements are verified and tests remain valid when code is refactored.
·  Begins to collaborate with development team in bugs fixing and build plans.
·  Skilled in core data structures and algorithms.

Desired profile

Qualifications/Requirements

bachelor€™s Degree in Computer Science or in STEM€ Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
A minimum of 2 years of experience in the industry
2+ years of experience in manual testing
2+ years of experience on test automation on any commercial tools
Hands on experience on C# or java.
Strong interpersonal skillset, including good written and verbal technical communication skills

Desired Characteristics

-Knowledge of Microsoft TFS
-Knowledge of Non Destructive Testing (Visual, Radiography, Ultrasound and Eddy Current)
-Experience in software product development in Agile (SCRUM)
