Role Summary/Purpose

Project Engineer – Green Belt is responsible for implementing Lean Six Sigma projects and strategy within targeted production areas. Identify opportunities and work on the continuous improvement of processes along the value stream. Drive measurable improvements in productivity, quality and cycle time.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Deployment of Six Sigma methodology to reduce variability and optimize processes.
·  Implement sustainable productivity initiatives on the site to achieve cost reduction.
·  Deliver improved product quality by identifying manufacturing issues, developing cost effective solutions, and overseeing successful implementation into production.  Enable capacity and improve production lines efficiency.
·  Driving Lean Manufacturing implementation.
·  Serving as a continuous improvement agent for the different processes on the site.
·  Lead Compliance, as well as Environmental, Health & Safety efforts in support of plant goals.
Qualifications/Requirements

·  B.S. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or related.
·  Minimum 2 years of experience in production, manufacturing, supply chain or process improvement.
Desired Characteristics

·  Greenbelt certified.
·  Strong analytical and quantitative skills; statistically literate and familiar with Lean Six Sigma concepts and tools.
·  Previous Project experience.
·  Demonstrated commitment for process improvement.
·  Customer-focused in defining quality and establishing priorities.
·  Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
·  Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated facilitation experience.
·  Demonstrated ability to perform with high levels of ambiguity.
·  Good team worker in international teams.
