Role Summary/Purpose

The Project Engineer – Wind Farms is responsible for project managing the engineering aspects of GE’s wind farm projects, coordinate with internal and external design teams, construction contractors and stakeholders to ensure that the wind turbine and the balance of plant works are designed, constructed and commissioned to a high standard and within the scope of the contract.
Essential Responsibilities

Support and communicate effectively with Project Manager and other stakeholders to provide assistance and technical support
Technical interface with Commercial Operations, Requisition Engineering (for Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Compliance/Certification, Supply Chain), and Project Management teams for the technical aspects of project planning, installation, test, commissioning, punch list for Wind Turbines.
Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.
Coordinate GE engineering respond, Non-Conformance Report (NCR) with customer and their owner engineering consultant (OE) and Lender Engineer Consultant (LE).
Manage all technical requirement according to contract for project completion.
Develop innovative and creative approach to providing engineering solutions.
Participate in the risk assessment of technical aspects of the project and the development and application of appropriate risk mitigation measures.
Participate in the necessary project processes.
Provide feedback to GE’s proposal group and other services throughout the project using the Lessons Learned Process.
Support Project Engineering & Management team members on project issues related to engineering and assign required technical resources to the project while meeting budget.
Attend the site visits, collect required information and data, and then prepare site visit report.
Manage the interface with other disciplines.
Maintain schedule and budget for the engineering works.
Liaise with local and international stakeholders - both internal and external to the company.
Manage the relationship with key contractors and suppliers during project execution.
Manage quality customer relations; internal and external.
Qualifications/Requirements

Tertiary qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
Interpretation and application of the Regulatory framework as they apply to the GE technology and prospective GE power plant projects.
Previous wind industry experience.
Ability to understand and manage complex technical issues.
Understanding of project management and engineering processes.
Proficient in a range of general computer packages (e.g Word processing, excel, AutoCAD, etc).
Proven ability to prepare high quality reports suitable for senior management and external stakeholders.
Well-founded communication skills oral and written in English.
Understanding of foreign cultures and empathy.
Flexible attitude to tasks and an open mind for new challenges.
Ability to manage a range of tasks with varying time pressures.
Highly developed inter-personal and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize demanding workloads and pay attention to detail.
