Role Summary/Purpose

Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and also within departments) according to production schedules. Plan and schedule material/production needs. Creating plans which allow the business to meet agreed goals.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Reviewing forecast load and work with business leaders to establish plans to ensure that sufficient capacity is available to process the load through each work centre.

·  Co-ordinating forecast load and capacity requirements for input to the GE business planning processes.

·  Developing new planning processes and analytical tools, which support future growth.

·  Maintaining accurate forecasts of TAT.

·  Providing production schedules which reflect business priorities.

·  Ensuring that the slot dates in the system reflect the requirements of the business in terms of on time delivery, outputs, WIP and inventory etc. If they don’t, recommending appropriate actions.

·  Providing an analysis of the drivers for slot changes and recommended actions.

·  Providing an analysis of high level performance measurements, which identifies significant performance drivers, and recommend appropriate actions.

·  Monitoring the integrity of data in the system and ensuring that data flowing to corporate systems is accurate.

·  Ensuring that all issues affecting progress of engines through the process are logged in the system. This will include both customer holds and internal process issues.
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Working as part of a fast paced team, the successful candidate will be a motivated and enthusiastic individual with excellent communication, interpersonal and prioritisation skills.

·  Experience of, or exposure to a similar planning environment would be beneficial, as would knowledge of Six Sigma, change management and lean methodologies.
·  Competence in SAP would also be an advantage.
