Role Summary/Purpose

The Chemical Process Engineer will play a key role in a new pilot scale manufacturing facility based in Stevenage in the UK. This facility is being commissioned to provide flexible launch capabilities for a number of new commercial products as part of GE’s acquisition of Puridify in ‘17. This presents an opportunity for an individual with the appropriate skills and experience to play a key role in translating novel products into commercial manufacture.

Essential Responsibilities

Role Summary/Purpose:

They will work closely with R&D, product/process development and launch teams to enable rapid translation of breakthrough technologies that will improve the manufacture of medicinal products to benefits patients worldwide. This will require an individual that has an ability to manage development of new production lines whilst the final product formats are in flux.

This is a unique opportunity for an individual to have input into the process taking cutting edge research to commercial products.

Essential Responsibilities:

·  Assist management in the planning and operation of the pilot plant to generate commercial material and transfer new lines into production

·  Drive continuous improvement initiatives on both product quality and process efficiency by identifying manufacturing issues, developing advanced manufacturing cost-effective solutions, and overseeing successful implementation into production.

·  Participate in early focus on manufacturability in NPI and/or Advanced Technology programs.
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Degree in Chemical or Process engineering field (or related) or equivalent knowledge or experience

·  Strong experience in production, or engineering

·  Strong written and verbal communication skills

·  Strong data collection and analysis abilities
