Role Summary/Purpose

The Product Support Analyst will have global responsibility covering Avionic, Mechanical, Power and Propeller data validation, analysis and automation across the Aviation business. The Product Support Analyst will support the Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) across the entire product life cycle using a variety of analytics tools.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Adhere to departmental compliance, company policies and government regulations

·  Communicate technical content to satisfy requests through the use of appropriate media (e.g. presentation) to a variety of stakeholders at all levels

·  Product Data Management/Analysis

·  Support collection of internal, customer, supplier and MRO data

·  Support data validation and automation strategy, participating in process development

·  Develop, support and maintain tools to automate deliverables for the Aviation business

·  Support the development of advanced predictive analytics tools and visualizations

·  Support evaluation and implementation of improved analytics tools and techniques for GE Aviation Systems

·  Support the business methodology to capture New Product Introduction platform detail

·  Data analysis and support of equipment configuration database system or appropriate business systems

·  Recommended Spare Parts Lists (RSPLs)

·  Support delivery of RSPLs and serve as backup to RSPL lead

·  Reliability

·  Clean, validate and categorize datasets/sources, as required

·  Support and/or complete contractual and non-contractual deliverables, as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or business/IT discipline from an accredited university or college (or high school diploma/GED with significant experience in Engineering/Technology) or equivalent experience

·  Core competence in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Access, with the ability to adapt to a variety of IT tools

·  Knowledge and understanding of the Aerospace industry or Aviation products and experience performing reliability engineering or FRACAS activities

·  Some experience with data cleansing and validation of large datasets, from multiple sources

Desired Characteristics

·  Ability to drive improvements in efficiency for multiple, concurrent projects

·  Problem Solving – Ability to analyze, identify and develop solutions to problems using a wide range of data

·  VBA coding

·  Familiarity with SQL and Oracle databases

·  Exposure/experience with data science techniques or predictive analytics tools

·  Experience with FRACAS tools such as Windchill Quality Solutions or XFRACAS

·  Knowledge of export control and/or government restrictions regarding data management
