Role Summary/Purpose

The Process Engineer for Advanced Machining & Adaptive Technologies will support manufacturing processes across the Rutland enterprise as a subject matter expert. The role requires mastery of a combination of mathematics, mechanical engineering, and computer science.
Essential Responsibilities

Additionally, the Process Engineer for Advanced machining & Adaptive Technologies will:

·  Define and control production process including tooling and equipment

·  Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment

·  Develop new solutions under guidance and / or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations

·  As part of the central Manufacturing Engineering team, work together with organizations across the shop, including hourly operators, peers, business and site leadership

·  Specify needs, communicate about project approach and research done, as well as deliver final product

·  Lead analytical and design activities using proven technologies such as:
·  3D Software Experience (preferably UG)
·  3D Surface definition (B-Spline surface) & manipulation
·  Adept Python programming
·  NC Manufacturing Processes (e.g., 5-Axis)
·  Mathematics
·  Linear Algebra

·  Demonstrate Strong Problem Solving Skills (Creative solutions)
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)

·  Minimum of 3 years of experience in Production Process and Machining
