Role Summary/Purpose

The Process Control Engineer – Houston Service Center will work at the Houston Service Center to repair and overhaul GE’s Aero-derivative gas turbine engines and modules. This role will help support the repairs of 160+ engines/year, 400 modules/year, close to $1b revenue/year.
- This role will support the 180+ shop floor personnel from a technical standpoint and drive productivity/manufacturability/cost-out improvements for the business.

Essential Responsibilities

As the Process Control Engineer – Houston Service Center, you will:

·  Provide technical support in the disassembly, repairs and assembly processes for the shop floor
·  Lead initiatives (Lean action workouts) to meet Service Center Fulfilment Five (EHS, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Productivity) Goals and Objectives
·  Collaborate closely with ops teams and cross-functions to address specific Tooling related and manufacturing processes that need to be improved, collaborating with functions such as Ops, Quality, Repair Vendors, Equipment/Tooling vendors etc.
·  Provide leadership/mentorship for team to lead shop floor improvement projects to resolution
·  Help drive resolution on process-related NCRs, technical issues that come up during production, Service Now Cases and test reject RCAs.  
·  Own and drive maintenance and P&E budgets for critical Shop projects/tooling/supplies/repairs as needed.
·  Share best practices across Cells/Gates to drive consistency, ensure our processes are continuously improving
·  Own Shop floor Routers and Work Instructions, need to be crisp, clean and accurate while ensuring compliance to OEM Manuals. Partner with cross-functional leaders to drive a strong culture in Quality and Safety
·  Develop a strong partnership with internal and external teams to build a solid continuous improvement project deck for the assigned work areas and processes.
·  Hold self and team accountable to GE Compliance and Integrity standards
·  Hold self and team accountable to GE EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) culture, driving a safe work place and environment

Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
·  Minimum 3 years of technical experience supporting a shop floor, to include driving productivity/manufacturability/cost-out improvement projects

Desired Characteristics

·  Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical/Industrial/Aeronautical/Electrical Engineering preferred
·  Strong computer skills, and proficiency in AUTOCAD, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint
·  Experience with Gas Turbines engines, preferably aircraft or aero-derivatives
·  Customer-focused mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to customer needs
·  Demonstrated Inclusive behavior with strong ability to connect with and influence team
·  Strong oral and written communication skills
·  Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
·  Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
