Job Description

BASIC FUNCTION:

Provide leadership and management for plant engineering, maintenance, and reliability in the plant.  Duties include support to capital projects, corrective actions for mechanical integrity or PHA findings, monitor and control costs, and provide recommendations to improve safety, quality, profitability, availability and reliability of the plant.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
·  Lead maintenance planning and monitor execution.
·  Tracks and reports capital spending and Maintenance fixed costs.
·  Review site data and propose projects to correct deficiencies and improve reliability and availability. 
·  Provide: direction for plant improvements; expertise for troubleshooting technical problems; root cause analysis, training and instruction for craftsmen on plant equipment and processes.
·  Coordinate and assist with plant external resources on projects at the plant.
·  Develop, propose, implement, and commission projects to comply with PHA and safety findings.
·  Provideleadership and engineering support for all aspects of safety and environmental improvements and compliance, PSM, and Mechanical Integrity program compliant with OSHA, PSM, EPA RMP, and company rules.
·  Interface with Maintenance Department to prioritize work orders and execute the work orders efficiently.   
·  Understand, support, and comply, with all plant safety policies and procedures.
·  Participate in plant audits. Provide information and corrective actions identified during audits in relation to plant maintenance and equipment.

Candidate profile

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
·  Bachelor of Science, Chemical / Mechanical Engineering; 2+ years’ experience in manufacturing facility.
·  Computer knowledge: use of Microsoft Office products, PI, IMPACT, SAP and be able to understand new systems.
·  Strong working knowledge of rotating machinery design, operation and maintenance.
·  Strong working knowledge of static equipment design, fabrication, inspection, testing and repair standards
·  Basic engineering fundamentals, proven project development and management skills, and good problem solving skills.
·  Interpersonal and communication skills required for interaction with every group in the facility and vendors as needed
