Role Summary/Purpose

Manage internal and external resources and activities required for the completion of production
plan, including manufacturing, logistics, sourcing, expediting
Essential Responsibilities

·  Communicate and make arrangements with impacted departments to ensure
uninterrupted production

·  Control materials and resources on the shop-floor and at the supplier to ensure effective and
continuous production

·  Collaborate with sourcing department in controlling purchased material arrivals

·  Manage, update the production control data, own the Material Requirement Plan activities,
assures that at job closing all labour, material and Outside Supplier Process properly charged on a
job

·  Support inventory management

·  Initiate and drive improvement actions of the production control and planning related
processes using lean and 6sigma tools

·  Interfacing with other planner-buyers, purchasing services (OSP) from external suppliers in
order to schedule receipt of material to meet production demand,

·  Assessing supply chain capabilities

·  Providing regular estimates to suppliers & regular updates to operations

·  Working with Warehouse to resolve material receipt issues

·  Responsible for lead-times, keeping supplier market shares & using agreed prices

·  Responsible to resolve invoicing & customs issues (working with on-site customs personnel)

·  Responsible for procurement follow up and expediting management

·  Understanding supplier capacities & capabilities

·  Provide forecast for suppliers based on site specific and global demand

·  Manage and facilitate daily/weekly conference calls with suppliers
Qualifications/Requirements

Education:

·  Business or Technical University or College degree and/or equivalent experience,

·  Strong planning and/or inventory control and/or sourcing background
Experience:

·  Experience in sourcing / logistics and/or production planning, preferably in metal / heavy
industry,

·  Implementation of continuous improvement and quality improvement efforts.
Competencies:

·  Familiarity with Oracle or any integrated systems,

·  Proficiency in MS Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Project and Excel.
Skills:

·  Excellent communication, analytical and presentation skills in Hungarian,

·  Good communication level of spoken and written English,

·  Team player attitude,

·  Demonstrated skill in formal problem solving processes and tools.
Hungarian language knowledge is a must
