Role Summary/Purpose

Through ownership of Payroll & Benefits administration activity, ensure a professional & proactive service to the GE Businesses as part of the People Operations team of Czech, Slovakia.
FIXED TERM contract.
Essential Responsibilities

Partnership with local/regional HR, Payroll, Comp&Ben, Finance and in-country Team (40%)
• Act as Payroll & Benefits process owner for assigned Country/Account and as Payroll & Benefits vendor manager towards 3rd party suppliers, handle queries from employees, line managers and HRMs as well as first level escalations and ensure those are all logged into SVC system to measurement purposes
• Act as first point of contact towards Country/Account, Payroll vendor, Benefits vendors and employees, e.g. handle questions, ad hoc requests, problems, issues and escalations of assigned Country/Account with special focus on accuracy & timeliness
• Develop a strong working relationship with the local/regional HR, Payroll, Compensation&Benefits, Finance and in-country communities through proactive facilitation, ensuring effective communication and early identification of requirements & any service issues
• Build a bridge between assigned Country/Account, Payroll vendor, Benefits vendors and People Operation Team in Pay&Ben related matters
o lead dashboard call with payroll vendor and follow-up on issues
o follow up on dashboard metrics including escalations
o manage benefits vendors and related matters
• Ensure documentations (Dashboard presentation, Communication materials to HR Colleagues, employees, etc.) are up to date and properly communicated

• Support information sharing between the Account Managers and colleagues within the People Operations team

Oversight of Payroll & Benefits Service Delivery for Assigned Business/Country (5%)
• Monitor service delivery metrics and third-party supplier performance in relation to the assigned country and GE Business
• Measure client satisfaction and develop & communicate action plan to mitigate any operational risk or to resolve escalated issues (NPS-detractor cases and escalations)

Payroll & Benefits Administration (55%)
• Coordinating payroll inputs & outputs ensuring highest standards of timeliness, completeness and accuracy for salary and other payroll related payments as well as compliance with relevant legislation
• Prepare reports and associated statistics in collaboration with payroll vendor when needed
• Deal with all customer enquiries in a professional, courteous & timely manner
• Support the use of global payroll tools through the country payroll & benefits operations and by providing ongoing maintenance, configuration, testing and access control
• Consistently follow defined Payroll & Benefits processes, challenging steps that may not make sense / add value, propose & make improvements
• Provide & maintain process documentation in accordance with relevant labor legislation & Data Privacy regulations
• Ensure that high standards of accuracy and quality are maintained with appropriate controls in place, taking accountability for compliance with relevant legal and GE policy requirements
• Support internal & external payroll & benefits audits
Qualifications/Requirements

Knowledgeable and experience in local Czech and/or Slovak labour law
• Fluency in Czech, Slovak and English, with polite, professional communication skills both verbal and written
• Experience of payroll and benefits process ownership role in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment
• Process mind-set, understanding of core payroll and benefits operational processes
• Decisiveness, self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Experience of driving strong performance from third-party suppliers & remote teams
• Ability to prioritise multiple tasks & work to deadlines
• Comfortable delivering against quantitative and qualitative performance metrics
• Solid analytical skills for avoiding errors, detecting root cause including the ability to identify trends and improving operational processes in a matrix organisation
• Ability to anticipate and resolve challenges
• Strong IT skills including Excel, Word, Outlook and Oracle or Workday
• Demonstrated organizational skills, high standard of accuracy, an attention to detail, and excellent follow-up skills

relationships
Desired Characteristics

• HR Shared Service or outsourced payroll experience
• Knowledgable & experience in local Czech and/or Slovak labour payroll regulation basics
