Role Summary/Purpose

GE Mining is looking for a technical sales leader with experience in AC & DC drive surface mining trucks. This role is responsible for developing a working relationship with all mining companies and contractors that operate haul trucks with the GE drive system.
Essential Responsibilities

The role is responsible for continuously updating the installed base and status of each serial number truck as well as gathering operating costs and any other fact based performance information. The role will be responsible for developing a close working relationship with the OHV product management team and will compile product upgrade opportunities and actively promote with end users. The role will also gather alternate parts provider information including price and performance and provide feedback to the product team and develop strategies to regain or take parts market share.

The ideal candidate will have technical experience on surface mining trucks with a willingness to work in a sales role and spend time on mine sites gathering information and promoting parts, reman and product upgrade opportunities for the GE drive system.

The Parts & Service sales Representative ie;- PSSR will be responsible for the following:
-Update installed base data and status of each serial number truck
-Gather fact based performance data by model and commodity and provide that to the product line team
-Gather parts purchasing history by customer & by site and calculate parts market share
- Analyse leakage and gather market intelligence on alternate parts & component providers and work with the parts team to develop and implement tactics to regain or increase parts market
-Actively promote the Perth based GE Remanufacturing program
-Actively promote the use of GE technical support resources to address trouble shooting and performance related issue’s with GE drive systems in the field
-Review warranty data and analysis possible impact to installed base by customer and develop options for end user community to avoid unplanned downtime
-Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key customers, reman workshop, product line and commercial team
Qualifications/Requirements

-Mechanical or Electrical Trade certificate with a minimum of ten (10) years working exclusively on AC & DC powered haul trucks
-Some commercial knowledge on packaging product upgrade packages and addressing performance related issue’s with GE powered units in the field
-Customer exposure and some negotiation experience
-Knowledge of the overall mining industry/value chain, mining equipment & services industries
-Willingness and ability to travel domestically and have access to remote mine sites but also comfortable working in head office type environments
-Highly competent PC skills including excel, word & powerpoint
-Deep technical understanding of the interface required between field, product management and engineering
-Leadership skills including agility, inclusiveness, influencing, problem solving, negotiation and interpersonal skills
-Thought leadership, comfortable within the mining market and technology trends, uncertainty, develop content and domain expertise
-Demonstrated success as a technical resource within the industry
-Very strong communication skills and be able to interact and influence cross-functionally at all levels; ability to build deep trust with internal teammates and end customer operational management
-Results driven and capable of working within a highly matrixed organization
-A team player and someone comfortable in a highly collaborative, team oriented culture
Must be able to comply with requirements to enter customer mine sites including ability to adhere to Drug and Alcohol testing requirements.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
