Role Summary/Purpose
In this role you will assist the business to comply with existing and new federal and state laws and regulations by performing legal research, assisting attorneys in legal matters and creating & filing selected regulatory filings. Paralegal will gather, prepare and summarize relevant materials for use by attorneys and other legal counsel, perform legal research, review and draft agreements under attorney supervision, facilitate business transactions and assist with compliance of the business.
Essential Responsibilities
You will:
· Prepare confidentiality and other agreements with attorney supervision
· Assist attorneys with fact-finding or investigations for internal and/or external matters
· Conduct legal research and drafting as requested
Identify and summarize relevant legal articles, laws and judicial decisions for the business
· Review and respond to policyholder and regulatory complaints
· Create and maintain corporate records
· Successfully complete special projects and other assignments as requested
Qualifications/Requirements
· Paralegal certification
· Bachelor’s Degree preferred but at a minimum, completion of an Associate’s Degree
· Minimum of five years paralegal experience in life and health insurance related field

· Strong on time management and able to manage deadlines
· Prior law firm or insurance experience
