Role Summary/Purpose

A nuclear pharmacist is responsible for following good sterile compounding practices in preparation and dispensing of radiopharmaceuticals. Acts as the shift supervisor in line with pharmacy policy & procedures during their respective shift.
Essential Responsibilities

1. Exemplifies compliance with all regulations, Company Policies, Corporate Standards and Health and Safety rules related to area of responsibility. 2. Process and review customer orders from initial receipt through final packaging accurately and consistently. 3. Accurately set up and compound radiopharmaceuticals. 4. Manages the shift per which they are assigned in alignment with the pharmacy policy & procedures. Directs all employee activity during their shift. 5. Supervise and/or perform leukocyte labeling procedures. 6. Handle, package and deliver radiopharmaceuticals and hazardous materials in compliance with Company Policies, Corporate Standards and Health and Safety rules related to area of responsibility. 7. Monitor and maintain appropriate level of drug inventory and other business necessary supplies. 8. Supervise and/or perform required tests on equipment (e.g. dose calibrator constancy and survey meter checks) and manually record results. 9. Supervise and/or perform quality control tests on prepared products to ensure all quality requirements have been met. 10. Provide training and supervision to employees to assure all lab activities are performed in compliance with regulations and initiatives, Company Policies and Health and Safety rules. 11. Supervise and/or process returned medical waste and maintain returned reusable supplies in compliance with all regulations and Company Policies. 12. Supervise and maintain cleanliness of lab in accordance with the facility housekeeping schedules, which may include but are not limited to: mopping, sweeping, cleaning and tidy work spaces, and removal of waste from facility. 13. Supervise the bio-hazardous waste disposal and prepares paperwork for shipment & tracking. 14. Supervise and/or perform radiation wipes and surveys on shipping containers, pharmacy supplies, incoming packages, work spaces and vehicles. 15. Actively participate in maintaining a safe work environment by completing required training, providing suggestions for improving the health and safety program and bringing unsafe acts and/or conditions to the attention of management. 16. Support Pharmacy Operations by accurately entering regulatory, sales, customer or other required information into pharmacy computer system.
Qualifications/Requirements

1. A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) and/or a Bachelor’s of Science in Pharmacy or a Board of Pharmacy intern licensure/permit currently and enrolled in a doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) program, with an expected graduation date within one year 2. Willingness to become an authorized user of radioactive materials 3. Licensed or eligible to become licensed to practice pharmacy 4. Willingness to work on an on-call basis, with the expectation that you can arrive to the pharmacy within 45 minutes 5. Ability to accommodate shift changes based on business needs 6. Valid driver’s license to operate in necessary delivery area 7. Must be able to lift 50 pounds 8. Willing to submit to a drug test and background check 9. Authorized to work in the United States

• Candidates should note that this role will be in scope for the proposed transition of GE Healthcare US Nuclear Pharmacies to Radioisotope Life Sciences; RLS (USA), Inc. and will transfer to RLS (USA,) Inc. at close of this transaction.

• As a result of the transition process, a non-solicit/no hire policy is in place which applies to GE Healthcare employees in scope for transitioning to RLS (USA), Inc. and the rest of GE as a standard GE practice to preserve the franchise value of our collective team. GE Healthcare US Nuclear Pharmacy employees are not eligible to post on or transfer to jobs in other GE businesses or within other parts of GE Healthcare. This policy applies to all employees who report to the US Nuclear Pharmacy Operations & Commercial teams, as well as others who primarily work in support of the US Nuclear Pharmacy business objectives, but may report through another business segment or function. This Non-Solicit/No Hire policy will be effective for one year post closing of the RLS (USA), Inc. deal.
