Role Summary/Purpose

The Non Destructive Test Lead Engineer / Technologist demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals / programs / processes for an area or business segment. Has the experience or expertise to solve problems. Ability to develop and execute objectives for self and others. The role of Non Destructive Test Lead Engineer / Technologist has the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
Essential Responsibilities

In addition, as the Non Destructive Test Lead Engineer / Technologist, you will:

·  Responsible for surveillance of NDE personnel certification program

·  Train NDE Level 1 and 2 inspectors

·  Provide NDE technical support to the shop for various methods

·  Implement NDE techniques and planning on the shop floor

·  Coordinate implementation of NDE MRB activities

·  Perform site assessments and leadership in outside agency audits

·  Maintain processes and equipment needed to support next generation manufacturing processes

·  Work closely with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering organizations meeting all business commitments
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or Computer Science)

·  A Minimum of 3 years of experience in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or Computer Science

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT(S):

·  NAS-410 Level 3 certification in radiographic testing, OR sufficient experience and education to achieve NAS-410 Level 3 certification in radiographic testing within 6 months

·  This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment
Desired Characteristics

·  Technical or Associates degree in NDE from an accredited school or institution or minimum of 5+ years of experience in various methods

·  NAS-410 Level 3 certification in various methods

·  Aerospace NDE experience of 2+ years with preference being shown to aerospace radiographic testing
