Job Description Summary
The MCS team supports the execution of MSO Customer Returns and Services Contracts for MRO component repairs across all military platforms. The MCS Specialist will have responsibility to lead teams of contingent workers in contract development, warehousing, and execution. This will include identifying ways to improve our warehousing and fulfillment processes, KPI generation, productivity, and delivery.The MCS team is dedicated to supporting the execution of MSO Customer Returns and Services Contracts for MRO component repairs across all military platforms. The MCS Specialist will take on the responsibility of leading teams of contingent workers in contract development, warehousing, and execution. This role involves identifying opportunities to enhance warehousing and fulfillment processes, generating key performance indicators (KPIs), and improving productivity and delivery.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Contract Development and Execution: Drive the development and execution of contracts, ensuring all processes are followed accurately.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a tactical team, ensuring tasks are completed and goals are met.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement ways to improve warehousing and fulfillment processes, focusing on productivity and delivery.
- KPI and Scorecard Generation: Generate and manage KPIs and scorecards to track performance and progress.
- Cross-team Collaboration: Work collaboratively across various MSO teams to ensure deliverables are met with the required margin and turnaround time (TAT).
- Weekly Coordination: Maintain a weekly rhythm with logistics and sourcing teams to address open issues and ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years' sourcing experience) + 3 Years Sourcing Experience
- Knowledge of warehouse and logistics operations
- Familiarity with ITC policy (import-export)
- Understanding of supply chain quality processes
- Ability to be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on GE Customer Returns application
- Experience with RFQ execution, PO placement in Impact system, and converting REQ’s to PO
- Price analysis and negotiation skills
- Experience with GE Sourcing network, engineering, and quality compliance
- Knowledge of FAR, DFAR, DPAS requirements, and compliance
- Familiarity with DLA, DCMA, DCAA, and PBL agencies and contracts
- Digital Thread access and Digital Distribution experience
- Experience with procurement systems
- Management of Repair Price Catalogs, including cost data quotes
- Day-to-day team management
- Order review for compliance and accuracy
- Experience with Supplier Sourcing System (SSS) and invoice payment/receiving processes
- Experience with industrializing new parts/repairs at suppliers
- Negotiation experience with C64 and overrides agreements
- Proven experience in services, repair shop operations, MRO, sourcing, or related fields
- Experience with IMPACT and order execution
- Comfortable working in a matrixed organization
- Ability to leverage and influence stakeholders
Technical Proficiency
- Familiarity with and confidence in using systems such as SCORE, VE estimates workflow, Rapid Ratings, Fieldglass, Badging, EPASS, GE Box, and IDM
- Adept in managing local purchases, C&A suppliers, and PO health reporting
- Ability to request GE software access for contingent employees
- Familiarity with 650.10 toll gate reviews and Source board reviews
- Relationships with GEES for developing strategic supplier agreements
Additional Responsibilities
- Engage with sales on new deals to ensure MRO capacity/capabilities are understood
- Lead special projects to support productivity initiatives
- Ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to military customer requirements and compliance
- Tracks spend and delivery, and update scorecards
- Occasionally brief senior executive leadership
