Role Summary/Purpose

This is a FTC contract to cover maternity leave. The post will be working as part of the Logistics team and reporting to the Logistics leader, where the key responsibilities will be to support both the international and domestic logistics for Engines and Material, whilst ensuring that the business remains compliant with HMRC legislation.The successful applicant will also provide logistics support to the entire organization.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Support and Co-ordinate with freight agents to ensure associated transportation and compliance including costs are allocated correctly and further review all opportunities for cost reductions, whilst at all times maintaining the company confidentiality in respect of all freight rates negotiated. 
·  Run and Manage Reports on associated Logistics Processes, with a key understanding of commercial and cost impactors to the business.  
·  Support the Engine delivery into the business and the redeliver back to customers. 
·  Support the Freight delivery / redeliver contracts within the supply chain. 
·  Develop relationships and processes with Freight Forwarders. 
·  Manage the risks of logistic related processes in respect to freight / Engine movements. 
·  Work with materials teams to ensure effective transportation of material flow in and out of the business to me TAT.  
·  Support the business’s import / export compliance. 
·  Provide administrative support on all logistical issues across the business. 
·  Raise Export documentation in accordance with the controls governed by H M Revenue and Customs. 
·  Continuously improve and assist with implementing upcoming changes within the logistics operation. 
·  Support the AEO – Customs Accreditation.

Qualifications/Requirements

·  Effective written and verbal communication skills 
·  Computer literacy skills, including a solid understanding of spreadsheet software, ideally with experience of windows based packages and statistical analysis software  
·  Good team player with a flexible “can do” approach 
·  Effective interpersonal skills 
·  Responsible / self-motivated person, with the ability to make decisions 
·  Ability to work in a well-organized and structured manner 
·  Ability to prioritize and multi-task 
·  Ability to work towards tight deadlines and agreed schedules
