Job Description Summary
Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and also within departments) according to production schedules. Plan and schedule material/production needs. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
• Place POs in system keeping inventory & Order-to-Build (OTB) in mind & seek PO acknowledgement from suppliers.
• Conduct regular follow-ups with suppliers for production shipment schedules & monitor status.
• Manage supplier documentation to ensure compliance to regulator.
• Conduct daily meetings with suppliers to understand bottlenecks, challenges.
• Ensure on-time unloading of delivery vehicles & closure of GRN.
• Ensure inventory targets related to safety stock is not breached as well as maintaining the scientific minimum level of Inventory aligning to the business.
• Check & download inventory stock.
• Sourcing discussion to finalize supplier, allocation any challenges from supplier.
• Ensure on-time resolution on RTV, loan and rep, MRB related issue packaging improvement to avoid risk and reduce cost of transportation.
• Lead time and logistic time reduction by working with CFT.
• change implementation.
• Obsolete part inventory and inventory ageing reduction. General Knowledge and Understanding
• Manage master planning, material processes and systems, prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs. Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs. Optimize inventory and process improvements.
• Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.
• Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
• Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
• Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information asks questions and checks for understanding.
