Role Summary/Purpose
Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the preventative maintenance programme by carrying out effective maintenance routines and repairs to prolong the useful life and optimise the efficiency of operations equipment. This role covers weekend shift working with additional hours worked during the week. In addition, the successful must have flexibility to change shift pattern as required by the business.
Essential Responsibilities
• Conduct Routine planned maintenance as detailed in the Computerised Maintenance Management System ( CMMS).
• Support production at all times by ensuring minimum response times to equipment breakdowns and achievement of equipment availability and OEE targets.
• Achieve maintenance targets.
• Provide support to the Utility/Facility function to ensure that critical utility supply is maintained at all times and compliance is maintained.
• Comply with EHS Regulations and Policies.
• Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with the cGMP practices requirements, including completion of all required documentation (CMMS records and LUMAC Log books).
• Promote and environment of continuous improvement and innovation in line with lean thinking, Maintenance Excellence and GE Professional Maintenance.
• Ensure that maintenance cover for operational areas is provided at all times demonstrating flexibility regarding working overtime to provide cover for holidays, shutdown periods and busy periods as required.
• Participate in the ‘on call' policy as required by Business needs.
Desired profile
Qualifications/Requirements
• Completed Engineering Qualification/Apprentice in Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• Experience in similar position in pharmaceutical/ chemical industry; experience in use of PLCs, experience in the operation and maintenance of process systems (powder transfer systems, filling, capping, and autoclaves, associated with batch manufacturing) or equivalent knowledge and experience.
