Role Summary/Purpose

In this role, you will :

Essential Responsibilities

·  Industrial electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical devices and equipment in an industrial environment
·  The work will primarily be in maintenance or in construction and their specific duties may include electric motors, control circuits, lighting, PLC and motor control centers

Additional responsibilities include :

·  Reading and interpreting blue prints

·  As well as wiring machines and electrical panels up to 600 volts
·  Troubleshooting
·  Maintains, repairs and completes preventative maintenance on various types of electrical equipment
·  Perform other duties as required

Qualifications/Requirements

·  High School Diploma or equivalent education (GED)
·  Massachusetts Journeymen License
·  Ability to work with power tools and meters ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS :

·  Ability to lift, move and manipulate fixtures and component hardware up to 30 lbs. (with or without reasonable accommodations)
·  Ability to work in confined areas, work off ladders, platforms and heights
·  This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.

·  Three years of experience as an electrician working in an industrial environment
·  Have knowledge and understanding of safety rules in an industrial setting
·  Ability to troubleshoot electrical problems
·  Must be familiar with industrial and Massachusetts regulations
·  Excellent communication skills
·  Possess strong electrical and mechanical abilities
·  Ability to use basic tools and machinery
·  Ability to schedule, plan and order materials for jobs
·  Strong understanding of HVAC controls
·  Ability to work with customers
·  Working knowledge in the installation of large industrial equipment
