Role Summary/Purpose

In this role you will coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and within the factory) according to production schedules as well as plan and schedule material/production needs. The role requires a comprehensive, in-depth understanding of basic and complex scheduling concepts and principles and a working knowledge of the other production support functions.
Essential Responsibilities

In the role of Lead Production Scheduler, you will:

·  Manage master planning, material processes and systems, prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs

·  Communicate across multiple departments to effectively coordinate operations between manufacturing production and sales

·  Work with Inventory Planners to ensure deliveries meet customers’ expectations

·  Communicate weekly production goals and factory load

·  Generate / Review SAP reports and coordinate with Customer Service to ensure customers’ expectations are aligned with current operational commitments

·  Create weekly metric charts and focus on metrics in order to meet delivery performance targets

·  Coordinate with functional peers to remove roadblocks to execution of current production orders and to support delivery to customer commitments

·  Support commercial team in quoting and managing of parts

·  Manage daily and long range scheduling while maintaining productivity cost controls

·  Identify, scope, and lead cross-functional projects / teams to deliver solutions for the business

·  Be a role model in executing daily scheduling tasks. Work pro-actively on self-improvement and assist / mentor others

·  Present data and improvement project progress to plant leadership and supply chain executives on cross-functional teams about how functions and initiatives interconnect and contribute to overall strategy
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (OR High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution with a minimum 7years of experience in Manufacturing, Materials Planning and/or Execution)

·  Minimum 3 years of experience in Manufacturing, Materials Planning and/or Execution
