Role Summary/Purpose

Network Engineer to implement connectivity solutions for cloud, SaaS, SDN, and internet hosted enterprise services. This individual will be part of a team focused on deploying cloud hosted services, determining how they will will be utilized, secured, and interconnected with resources hosted in the traditional enterprise backbone. These efforts will have a dramatic impact on how application architecture and workload placement will shift in a future “cloud” enabled environment.

Essential Responsibilities

·  Be an expert in the organization on developments with cloud-hosted infrastructure and platform services, software defined networking (SDN), and related connectivity solutions.

·  Design and implement solutions able to solve enterprise challenges including distributing workloads across multiple public and private cloud environments, services accessibility, and an increasingly externally connected workforce.

·  Partner with peer infrastructure teams, business application teams, and vendor teams to design large scale enterprise networking meeting the critical needs of a workforce of >300,000 employees in >160 countries.

·  Collaborate with Network Principal Technologists (PT) and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to bring cutting edge networking technology to the environment by driving New Technology Introduction (NTI) efforts

·  Mentor junior team members to develop their technical expertise

·  Effectively communicate to all levels of the organization including SMEs, Principal Technologist, CTO, CIOs, etc.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Desired Characteristics

·  Cisco Certifications including CCNP, CCDP, CCIE, CCDE

·  Experience with cloud providers including Amazon(AWS), Microsoft(Azure), Rackspace

·  Minimum 3 years of experience designing / implementing some or all of the following: firewalls such as Cisco ASA or Checkpoint, IPS, load balancers, Cisco ASR, Nexus

·  Able to work across technology and process teams in developing solutions

·  Experience successfully translating business requirements into technical solutions

·  Demonstrated ability to bring conflicting viewpoints to consensus

·  Strong track record of understanding and interest in current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and / or industry activities

·  Strong team player – collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources

·  Experience working with others on a global basis

·  Applies knowledge to coach and mentor others

·  Demonstrated customer focus – evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer, builds strong customer relationships, creates processes with customer viewpoint and partners with customers to help shape their future initiatives

Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

·  Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering from an accredited college or university OR in lieu of a degree must have a high school diploma with equivalent experience.

·  Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a design or engineering role in network infrastructure
