Role Summary/Purpose

The Lead Fleet Analytics Engineer will work as a part of the Fleet Analytics team to develop new advanced analytics that mitigate warranty spend, improve customer reporting, and identify and categorize new emerging issues using key data and existing analytics from our installed base that provides the Customer Solutions team with key insights to help manage GE’s assets.
Essential Responsibilities

The team will work collaboratively with the Digital Analytics, Services, and FRO teams to create advanced analytics that solve critical issues to the Americas installed wind base. The team will also support continuous improvement throughout the business, ensuring that, once immediate actions are taken, and corrective actions developed, that the business has a data system and methodology to capture, prevent recurrence, and continuously learn, from our quality issues and validate the effectiveness of solutions through data.

In addition you will:

·  Develop analytics that meet business needs to resolve widespread technical issues across GE’s Americas installed base

·  Work collaboratively with Digital, Services (Both GE and customer teams), several Engineering teams, and other resources in Customer Solutions to develop solutions to widespread fleet issues using data and create monitoring tools to ensure continued mitigative/resolutive action

·  Develop real time data tools and MVP products that bridge the gap between short term and long term RTS data solutions

·  Develop automation tools for the team currently responsible for Customer MCRs that drive efficiency, allowing the team to focus on new improved data streams

·  Support LATAM wherever possible to improve NA analytics quality and provide solutions for expanded fleet
Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

·  Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related technical field from an accredited college or university

·  Minimum of 3 years of experience in analytics or data science

Eligibility Requirements:

·  Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job

·  Ability and willingness to travel 10% of the time, including some international travel
Desired Characteristics

·  5 years of Wind experience

·  Strong proficiency with SQL or similar code development to optimize data gathering

·  Experience in statistical data analysis and data mining packages (R, Python,SAS, Matlab)

·  Experience in statistical linear models, data mining and machine learning principles

·  Hands-on experience with streaming data architecture (Spark Streaming, message queues, etc.)

·  Exposure to and ability to execute analytics packages at scale in Python, R, Spark/MLlib

·  Experience with enterprise data visualization technologies (Tibco Spotfire, Tableau, etc.)

·  Ability to think creatively and to work well both as part of a team and as an individual contributor

·  Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

·  Strong oral and written communication skills
